Wanderer : Ben
The welfare of cats has always been a top priority for me. Wherever I have lived, be it Canada, France or the UK, I am always on the lookout for any cat that looks lost, hungry, injured or just simply in need of some company. Ben has been in the neighbourhood for years, working the back gardens of my local terraced houses and finding kind souls to put out food for him. He is not very approachable but I did manage to captue a few shots of him at the bottom of the garden
The background was painted in acrylic with various tools and techniques other than brush work. For the cats in this series, Winsor and Newton (Series 7) 000 brushes and water mixable oil paints have been used for all of the facial and fur details.
